Prince Grootboom (born 1 July 1998) is a South African actor and dancer. He is best known for starring as Melisizwe in the telenovela 1802: Love Defies Time.
He has also portrayed other roles, such as Mawethu in Inimba, Jacob Tau in Fatal Seduction, Makhekhe in Jiva!, and Xhanti Ximiya in Ubetina Wethu.

Early Life
Ntuthuzelo Prince Grootboom was born on 1 July 1998 in Zwide, Gqeberha (now, Eastern Cape). He has a musician brother, who influenced his relationship with music, and a younger sister. He moved to Johannesburg in 2017.
Education
Grootboom dropped out in his first year due to family issues. He returned to pursuing his academic studies in Durban, but dropped out again.
Career
Grootboom would do push-ups each time the Natal Sharks score a try and get R500. He later became a cheerleader for the Sharks. He has also danced at corporate gigs and at Idols showcases.
He performed a showcase for DJ Black Coffee, choreographed by Bontle Modiselle. His old dance crew, PE’s Finest, performed in theatres. He often plays the lead even without a background in acting.
In 2021, Grootboom made his television acting debut in the Netflix dance series Jiva!. He starred as Prince Melisizwe, the son of King Jonginamba KaMajola, in the 1Magic telenovela 1802: Love Defies Time, in May 2023.
He has shared the screen with talents like Nathaniel Ramabulana, Warren Masemola, Thapelo Mokoena, and Kgomotso Christopher. He played Casanova Jacob Tau in Fatal Seduction seasons 1 and 2.
Personal Life
Prince Grootboom is currently in a relationship with actor Rorisang Mohapi. He proposed to her in 2025.
