Vigro Deep (born 6 September 2001) is a South African DJ and record producer. He has released many hit singles, including “Blue Monday”, “Africa Rise”, and “Wishi Wishi”.
He has released several albums, including “Far Away From Home” (2021), “My House My Rules” (2022), and “Baby Boy V”. He rose to national prominence for his Baby Boy album series, which began when he was 17.

Early life
Vigro Deep was born Kamogelo Phetla on 6 September 2001 in Atteridgeville, Pretoria. He grew up in a family with a musical background.
His father, Victor Ngcongwana, also known as DJ Spring, is a legendary house DJ and a founding member of The Godfathers of Deep House. He would go around the studio with his father as a child and learned how to make beats and produce music from there.
After Vigro Deep released his first project, Baby Boy, it became a success. He started attending more gigs, which affected his schooling. Since he was unable to manage both at the same time, he dropped out in the 10th Grade10.
Career
After dropping out of school, Vigro Deep focused on music production. He is one of the Disk Jockeys who pioneered amapiano.
Since his debut, “Baby Boy”, Vigro Deep has released other singles, including “Blue Monday”, “Africa Rise”, and “Bhampa”. He collaborated with DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small on the song “Wishi Wishi,” featuring Scotts Maphuma and Young Stunna.
His works have been certified gold by the Recording Industry of South Africa and topped the Official South African Charts. He worked on the global hit “Ke Star” with Focalistic.
His work ‘Baby Boy III’ scored a SAMA nomination for Best Kwaito/Gqom/Amapiano. He also bagged the Best Produced Album for his contribution to DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small’s ‘Scorpion Kings’ project. He also released the album ‘The Rise of a Baby Boy’.
During his early years in the industry, he was under the mentorship of DJ Buckz and Oskido. In 2025, he was selected to mix Apple Music’s latest exclusive Isgubhu DJ Mix.
Vigro mentioned that he will never sign to any major labels as he wants to maintain ownership of his music. However, he has been associated with Kalawa Jazmee. He founded the company Baby Boy 012.
He has performed across Nigeria, Kenya, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Madrid, and New York. Among his recent releases are “Far Away From Home” in 2021, “My House My Rules” in 2022, and “Baby Boy V” in 2025.
Personal Life
Vigro Deep married his long-time girlfriend, Lilitha Nxadi, in a traditional ceremony in 2025.
