Ratanang Malema (born October 2006) is the firstborn son of Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

Early Life
Ratanang was born to Julius Malema and Maropeng Ramohlale. His stepmother is Mantwa Matlala. He is the older brother of two half-siblings, Munzhedzi and Kopano.
Education
He studied at St David’s Marist Inanda in Johannesburg and completed his National Senior Certificate, securing a bachelor’s degree pass, which allows for university entry.
Recognitions
Ratanang has gained public attention through various appearances and personal milestones. He is known for his interests in music as a DJ, having trended in October 2022 for performing alongside his father.
In March 2026, Ratanang participated in the launch of the Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) mass voter registration initiative held at Winnie Madikizela Mandela House. He has previously addressed various voter registration events and advocated for increased political participation among the youth.
His father praised him for being well-behaved and respectful on his 18th birthday.
