Buyile Mdladla (born 25 March 1975) is a South African actor and presenter. He is best known for playing Lungile Mabena in the SABC1 soap opera Generations.
Mdladla hosted the SABC1 religious show Spirit Sundae for eight seasons. He has a career spanning over 25 years and plays Gabriel Gigaba in Mzansi Magic’s Genesis. He is also an ordained pastor.

Early Life
Buyile Mdladla was born on 25 March 1975 in a village outside Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
He grew up on a farm owned by his grandfather, where he herded livestock and participated in crop farming. He developed an interest in acting when he was in the 7th standard.
Education
Mdladla attended the Wits School of Dramatic Art.
Career
Mdladla played the role of Charlie “Yardbird” Parker during his last year at university. After an agent spotted him, he was cast as Lungile Mabena in the SABC1 soap opera Generations. He was a presenter for the SABC1 youth magazine programme Electric Workshop.
Buyile worked as an entertainment editor for Drum magazine until February 2002. He was also the Quizmaster of e.tv’s Sports Soccer challenge in June 2002. He was a presenter of the Live Lotto Draw and played a Prince in the SABC3 television drama series Hard Copy.
He also co-hosted Spirit Sundae on SABC 2. He played Melusi “Mel” Luthuli in the SABC1 mini-series adaptation of Shakespeare’s King Lear, Izingane zoBaba in 2008. He joined the SABC2 soap opera Muvhango as Tumelo Mojalefa.
The Radio 2000 presenter portrayed Duke in eVOD’s 6th local series, ‘Mother of All’. He is an ordained pastor and serves as the Head Pastor at Redemption Ministries International.
Personal Life
Buyile Mdladla was married to businesswoman Carol Mdladla. After almost 13 years with him, she filed divorce papers. She also accused actress Connie Ferguson of breaking her marriage.
She alleged that she was fraught with physical abuse and extramarital affairs, including with a Generations actress. They welcomed their first child, Bathiyane. After his divorce, Buyile married businesswoman Connie Khaas in 2011. He is currently married to Gomoditswe Mdladla.
