Tebogo Thobejane (born 30 November 1983) is a South African actress, entrepreneur, and media personality. She is best known for playing Belinda on the SABC 2 soap opera Muvhango.

She leverages her film degree to manage various business ventures, including Rush Productions, the waist-trainer brand Bofa Belts, and her cosmetics line, Slay Kit. She is also a podcaster on City Girls with Tebogo Thobejane.

Early Life

Tebogo Thobejane was born on 30 November 1983 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Her mother committed suicide when she was 11.

Five years later, her father, late Obed Thobejane, passed away when she was 15. Her father was a co-founder of Black Like Me and Principal hair products.

Education

Thobejane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from AFDA (The School for the Creative Economy).

Career

After graduating from school, Tebogo started working as a booker for the artist management company, X Factor.

She launched her waist trainers’ brand, Bofa Belts, and a makeup range for modern women, Slay Kit. She owns Rush Productions, which acts as a mediator between African artists and clubs.

Her company, Rush Productions, works with Taboo group SA. It played a notable role in bringing artists such as D’banj, Davido, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage to perform in South Africa.

She launched the Botlhale Foundation in 2025. It focuses on anti-bullying, mental health awareness, and supporting survivors of gender-based violence. She also wants to shift the focus to her positive ventures, including her work with the Botlhale Foundation, to reduce the prevalence of bullying and promote a safe online environment.

Thobejane was announced as one of the guest speakers at the Youth Influencer and Entrepreneurs Social Media Summit held at the Hilton Hotel in Durban in 2019.

Thobejane is also an actress and has appeared in several television series. She was cast in the Mzansi Magic drama Ayeye: Stripped and Diep City. She also played Belinda, a wedding planner, on SABC2’s telenovela Muvhango.

Tebogo is also a podcaster on City Girls with Tebogo Thobejane. In 2021, she revealed that she joined and earned from the controversial subscription service OnlyFans. She joined after the lockdown, when clubs and entertainment venues closed. She made R200,000 per month for four months.

Personal Life

Tebogo Thobejane was in a relationship with businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, which ended in 2021. She has a son named Botlhale, who turned 18 in July 2025.

In October 2023, she was shot in the foot during a car ambush that paralysed her friend. She released a statement saying she has post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and feels emotionally broken following the incident.

In 2025, her ex-boyfriend, Matlala, faced trial for attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder related to a 2023 shooting. She fled South Africa due to the ongoing legal case and threats to her safety.
